A contemporary new home for two artists, flanked by purpose-built painting studios with north facing sawtooth roofs and movable partitions. The house will be constructed from a highly insulated timber frame clad in a combination of handmade bricks and stainless steel corrugated cladding. The angular roof geometry was driven by the constraints of the site and to maximise opportunities for light into key spaces. This creates interesting forms beneath the roof which are expressed through exposed timbers and steelwork.
The house is under construction, and due to be complete in Spring 2026.
